Telehealth Oncology and the new normal

Almost every part of our lives have changed in the last few months due to concerns pertaining to COVID-19, including how patients are seeing medical providers.  While some aspects of our lives have come to a halt, the treatment and surveillance of cancer has not. The health of our patients and staff are our top priority and so numerous safety precautions have been instituted to ensure the well-being of those we care for. Additionally, we are offering telemedicine options such as FaceTime, Zoom Meetings, and Microsoft Teams for most new patient consultations and follow-up visits as an alternative to coming into the clinic.

“In these trying times, our patients living with cancer have had significant concerns regarding accessing care while looking to prevent COVID exposure.  Providing telehealth oncology visits has been extremely helpful and allows us to care for patients in the safety of their own homes. ” – Dr. Jason Harmon ND, FABNO
